Minimum Wines Winery, 7/177 Beavers Rd, Northcote VIC.
BEST WAY TO FIND US:
Type “Community Wine House” into your Google Maps, rather than the street address!
HOW TO GET HERE:
General
Beavers Road appears to come to a dead-end, but it in fact turns left into a little road (turn there!) — that's where you find us.
We are right on the Merri Creek, directly opposite CERES.
Walking/riding
From Brunswick East: Use the bridge from Ceres, then turn right. Or use the Merri Creek trail.
Bike parking
You can park your bike inside or outside amongst our planter boxes.
Car parking
You will see parking all around our warehouse. After 5 pm, all parks are free for use.
Tram/train
The number 11 and 96 trams both have stops just 700m from us. Northcote train station is just a little further, a 1.1km walk.

Our Community Wine House—CWH—is a unique neighbourhood meeting place inside our winery.
natural and organic wines,
groceries,
snacks,
community space;
a space to be alive.
We are a neighbourhood bar, focusing on natural wine, good times and euro snacks, to a considered soundtrack.
Headed by Matt and Leni Purbrick, who have created this neighbourhood experience.
We serve our full range of wines (including some favourites no longer available elsewhere) alongside simple Italian-style bar snacks (think cheese plates, sardines, pickles - always with phenomenal bread and organic olive oil). Filtered coffee is supplied by Small Batch, non-alcoholic sips available from Mischeif Brews and beers by Sobremesa.
The CWH is now your best place to grab takeaway bottles of all of our wines, as well as essential provisions including bread and baked goods from Ovens Street Bakery, organic L’Artisan butter; a range of local cheeses; sauces from Ultra Culture and Rough Rice; organic olives and EVOO; Acide pickles; organic Sunseeker chips; local produce by Somerset Farm, and more. The Community Wine House is a space to ‘be’. Alone, or together. Gather with a group of friends, bring a stranger. Come alone with your favourite records and take over the sound. Break up, make up, start a dance floor; our house is your house.

We will soon begin running natural wine immersion (mental, emotional and spiritual immersion - not physical immersion) + other warehouse sessions. More soon.
This is a place for the community. Yes, we want to use it to share our wines. But even more, we hope it is a place that brings people together, safely and inclusively*. Kids and dogs are all welcome.

* We are an affirming and inclusive space; everyone is welcome.
We believe in cultural and environmental accountability: we are proudly certified organic, B-Corp certified, and solar-powered. We make quarterly contributions to paying the rent (via Pay The Rent, First Nation Futures, Djirra, Common Ground and Firesticks Alliance), to planting trees (via One Tree Planted) and to ocean health (via Clean Hub).
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our winery and wine bar stand. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples. Sovereignty was never ceded. Here is the land, here is the sky, here are my friends, and here am I.
Please note: Our toilet is not yet as wheelchair accessible as we'd like it to be. Accessible facilities are coming soon. If there is something we can do to make your visit more accessible for you, please get in touch at cwh@minimumwines.com
