FIELD NOTES
The 2023 vintage was tiny and heart-wrenching due to massive flood damage in late 2022. That damage meant we only picked a very small amount of red grapes, all early and only suitable for rosé. From these we made a Syrah rosé that was mainly bottled during the harvest for our very nearly sold out and very delicious Alt Pét Nat, and a slightly bigger batch of Sangiovese rosé. This wine combines the two. All wild fermented in stainless steel then blended together after the Alt was bottled and moved to aged 300L barrels for malolactic fermentation and over two years maturation.

TASTES
Dry & savoury; ocean minerals, sour cherries, wild strawberries, nice bass line of forest floor. Textural and bright.
